MEET   TAVIS

DEDICATED TO PROGRESS

DEDICATED TO COMMUNITY

Whether leading Experience Waterloo or serving as your Black Hawk County Supervisor, I’ve always been driven by one goal — building a stronger Cedar Valley economy that works for everyone.

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together: expanding county services, strengthening public health, investing in strategic growth and supporting projects that create opportunity and growth across Black Hawk County.

But there’s more work to do. I’m committed to building a vibrant, connected Black Hawk County where every community and every person has the chance to thrive.

AS FEATURED ON

THE  ISSUES  THAT  MATTER

I ran for office in an effort to elevate local government, and bring a deeper sense of planning and intentionality around efforts to improve the lives of the citizens we represent.

In Black Hawk County, we have demonstrated an approached that invests in people, and in local economies, without being a economic burden on the overall population.  Where the state has ties our hands, Black Hawk County continues to lift our collective voices and find innovative ways to uplift our community.

input- driven strategy
a STRATEGIC  PLAN  focused  on  you

In my first term, we have invested in communications so ensure that Black Hawk residents better understand the services that we provide, ensuring accurate information to inform our residents, and we've invested to craft a strategic plan for our future.

community   investment  enhancing  economic  vitality

Thus far in my first term, we have invested nearly $3 million

back into communities without raising taxes a dime to pay for it. These projects and investments help communities close the financial gap that  would otherwise hinder progress, generating $31 million annually in economic activity, providing essential services, and improving community attractions which help define Black Hawk County where families want to live, grow & succeed.

PROTECTING  health

and  honoring  our  veterans

Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors has invested in the physical infrastructure, as well as the professional infrastructure that a complex community like Black Hawk County requires.

In addition, I'm proud of my role in supporting area veterans with historic investments in a new Veterans Affairs Department building for the areas 7,000+ veterans to call their own.
